Swing High, Swing Low

Nana Dede and Grandpa took some well deserved time off. While I was home with Hayden we went to the park and had a great time. He loves to swing and watch the cars drive by. We then headed over to the pool that has some small fountains and splashed around. He was so wore out that he took a long nap which I love so that I can get things around the house done. Daddy stayed home with Hayden but instead of playing at the park he was busy taking Hayden to the doctor for what I was anxiously thinking was a nasal polyp (of course it wasn't but my mind likes to dream of worst case scenarios) and Linus to the vet for anorexia. Seriously we couldn't get the dog to eat a thing. $175 later it turns out he doesn't like his dry kibble anymore and wants gourmet porterhouse steak dog food instead. A big thanks to Aunt Peggy and Grammy for watching Hayden the rest of the week. I know Hayden had a great time!!

Happy Birthday Grandma
Ask an 84 year old what she wants fo her birthday and it's simple... to have all her family together for a picnic in the country. Well ask and she shall receive. We all gathered for a wonderful time to celebrate birthdays, good food and loving family. It tuned out to be a great day with pinatas, kiddie pools, games, picnic under the great white tent and a LONG hayride. Fun seemed to be had by all. What a great birthday present for grandma. I think it was a gift for everyone.

HAIR Today, Gone Tomorrow
No Cake For Me
Hayden got his first invitation to a friends birthday party. Nile lives down the street from us and just turned 1. To celebrate he invited several of the neighborhood kids to a "baby" birthday party. In attendance was birthday boy Nile of course, Jefferson (soon to be 2), Sophia (7 months), Raya (soon to be 4) and Zade who is 6. Hayden had a great time playing beside the others with Raya and Jefferson bringing him lots of toys to play with. While everyone else got to eat cake mommy told Hayden he'd have to wait until he celebrates his First birthday!

Our First Vacation

A month ago we traveled to Florida for our first vacation with a baby. Everything went PERFECT. I was so stressed as to how he would tolerate a 12 hour car ride, would he take his naps, would he stop sleeping through the night, would he be off his routine. I truthfully was kind of dreading going. Wow did I stress for nothing. He was such a good baby as usual and I think he had as much fun as we did. It really was the perfect vacation! We had great weather and great company. The entire family went which was a first in a long time. We had some great family photos taken on the beach. Next year will be even better when Hayden can play in the sand and maybe venture into the ocean. This year he really didn't seem to thrilled with the waves. He did have fun playing on the beach and floating in the pool.

Our First Post
Well after seeing many people creating blogs for their families, I decided I would try this out. I haven't kept up with scrapbooking as well as I had planned (who knew there wouldn't be anytime with a baby) so maybe I will do a better job at keeping this updated. One can always hope can't they! Well here goes. Hope you all enjoy! This is Hayden, nearly 9 months old, enjoying his baby pool. He LOVES the water whether it's the baby pool, Aunt Peggy's pool, the bathtub or the sink. He stayed in the pool on this particular day until he was as wrinkled as a raisin and then I made him get out much to his disliking! Linus had a good time too as he loves to drink the pool water.
