4 kids < 4 years old = FUN

I'm a little late posting this one but better late than never. A couple weeks ago we had our friends Erin & Darin, their 2 year old Aidan, and Christy & Jeff, their 2 kids Kendall (4) and Makenzie (16mths)over for dinner. We had fun watching the kids play and catching up with each other.

Makenzie, Kendall and Hayden looking out the back door

Aidan loves to ride on his dad's back and thought he'd try it out on Hayden

Kendall really enjoyed Hayden's exersaucer and thought that even at 4 he wasn't too big for this baby toy.

PJ's

I absolutley love baby pajamas. i have bought Hayden enough pj's to wear a different pair every night for probably 3 weeks. Even though it's not winter I had to put this on after his bath last night. Isn't he cute?

Follow the Gravel Lined Road and.....

you get to grandma's house. Last Sunday Hayden and I went to suprise Grandma Hamilton. Hayden had a great time eating at the grown up table in Grandma's old stool. He ate chicken, mashed potatoes and biscuits. He then played in the family room with cousin Dalton and visited with Uncle Donnie and Aunt Rose and Uncle Jerry. He played so long that when we finally got in the car he was sound asleep before we got down the lane. We had a great day in the country.

While I was Away

So last week I went to Atlanta for a Board Review. It has been 5 years and time for me to sit for my national boards. I attended a refresher to help pass the big test next month. I learned alot but being gone for 5 days was the longest I've been away from Hayden. I got daily updates from Nana DeDe on Haydens eating, napping and pooping habits while I was away. Jeff and Hayden stayed at Nana Dede's and Grandpa's house while I was away. These were some of the pictures Deanna emailed me while I was away. When I came back Hayden showed me that he can clap his hands on command now. I'll have to get that on video and post for everyone. Deanna is now teaching him to blow kisses. She has really been working with him on sign language but he doesn't seem to have an interest in imitating yet.

We need an Interpretor!

While Hayden was finishing up his breakfast this morning he was full of chatter. Although I have no idea what it means. I am just glad to hear our little guy making some sounds and babbling now! He's even said some mama's and dada's. Looks like a few visits from Aunt Jilly really paid off.

Ridin' Along In My Automobile

I finally captured Hayden's First tooth on camera while playing outside in his new car (center picture bottom right tooth). He loves this hand me down from cousins Connor and Carson and it gets better gas mileage than our cars. Thanks Connor and Carson!! On Saturday we spent some time outdoors taking Hayden's new ride for a test drive. He was grinning ear to ear and really loved when Daddy pushed him fast. Our little boy is growing up so fast and is learning new things everyday. He has such a good temperment and is a lot of fun!!

I Found my Tongue

What a great photographer we have found!! Deena came over and shot Hayden's 9 month pictures (although he was 10 months). She was able to capture him sticking out his tongue which he has just learned to do. Since getting his first tooth he loves to rub his tongue over it and show everyone his tongue. The other new talent he's learned is clicking his tongue.

In one of the pics on the right you can see Hayden's basket of books. He loves to pull them out of the basket and actually prefers a book to any other toy. Turning the pages are his favorite and believe it or not he will sit still and let you read to him. Today he actually said "book" although i think it was a fluke but none-the-less I was excited.

Nana Dede and Grandpa's House

Nana Dede sent these pictures of Hayden having fun at her and Granpa's House. He loves sitting on Grandpa's riding lawn mower and playing with his cousins. They haven't started painting his nails or putting make up on him so he likes to play with them now. Give it a few years and we'll see. Hayden is very blessed to have his grandparents watch him during the day while mommy and daddy work. This is Addison's last week at Nana Dede's and he really is going to miss her. Hopefully she'll come by for visits like Kayla does.

Big Lake Little Baby

Hayden loved his first sppedboat ride. He feel asleep as long as the boat was moving at a faster speed. He loved watching the other boats speed by. He didn't like his life jacket one bit. Last weekend we went to Rough River with the Slushers and spent the afternoon on the pontoon. Hayden definately preferred the speedboat. Mommy was too nervous at rough river to let him in the water but Daddy convinced her that he would be just fine and so Hayden swam in the Lake and had a blast splashing around in the water. Kayla on the other hand preferred the warm pool water to the cooler Lake water as you can hear she's alittle unhappy in the video.

Happy Labor Day

Well Labor Day is a day to celebrate all those that are working and although Hayden doesn't have a paying job he still is hard at work. On Monday after a few days of being just a tad clingy and chewing on his hands I spotted a pearly white that had poked through the gum line. He hadn't been overly fussy or waking in the middle of the night so I was shocked that after 10 months of waiting we finally had a tooth!! As soon as I can capture on camera I'll post a picture. We spent the weekend having a great time at Lake Cumberland with Jason, Danielle and Hayden's cousin Kayla. Hayden loved swimming in the lake and community pool. He ate a blueberry muffin for the first time and had a blast crawling around the condo and playing with Kayla's balls. Thanks Kayla for sharing your toys. It will be interesting this time next year seeing what new and exciting things the kids are into.
