Hayden had his first art project on Tuesday. I got several pieces of paper and taped them to his table in the playroom. I bought him some crayola TaDoodles crayons for toddlers and let him have at it. He seemed to like making streaks of color across the white paper. He colored away for about 15 minutes then my phone rang and I ran to get it in the other room. In the 20 seconds I was gone he managed to eat his blue crayon. Not all of it but did take a few good size chunks out of it. i came back in the room to find him spitting out blue specks onto his paper masterpiece. Kateri called to tell me her and Grandma were in town and they were going to stop by. We had a nice visit for about an hour although Hayden clung to me and buried his face in my shirt. He really is quiet the shy guy but does tend to warm up after about 15 minutes but not so much on this particular day. We enjoyed our visit and next time we'll have to make the trip to Grandma's house.

Luke ate a crayon too! Of course I'm neurotic so I called poison control to see if he was ok. Which I read the box and realized that crayons are NON toxic. Crazy first time mom story.
