Our not so Little Landon

At 5 weeks Landon flashed us his first "real" smile then about a week and a half later he gave Jeff his first few giggles. I got to witness them too. I wasn't fast enough to get them on camera. Landon loves his bathes as much as his older brother does. It's one time of the day you know they both will be happy as long as the water is nice and warm. Landon has been such a happy baby since getting started on his reflux medicine and the occasional use of his gripe water. We had to switch reflux meds due to insurance and within 3 days our happy baby was gone and in his place a red faced, tear streaked, unhappy hurting baby. One hundred and sixty five dollars later (the cost of his prescription) our happy baby is back after restarting him on the medicine that works. It is so worth it to see him happy and smiling as opposed to the alternative.

He is sleeping well, even going the occasional 9 hours (about two weeks ago and hasn't happened since but it was great when it happened) without waking. Granted he is still in his swing just swinging away at night but I will just enjoy it never the less.

He went for his 2 month check this week and again is in the 75th percentile weighing in at 12 pounds 10.5 ounces and 23.5 inches long and his head is 41cm. It's hard to believe he is already 2 months old and out of his newborn clothes and diapers. 3 month sleepers are almost to small. Our little Landon isn't so little after all.

Happy 2 months Landon! What a joy you are and a wonderful addition to our family. It's hard to think that just 2 months ago you weren't here with us yet it seems like you have been apart of our family for much longer. We can't wait to see what your future holds. I am in no hurry though so take it slow and stay a baby for a while. I always have said I am not a newborn person. If i could have toddlers and skip the newborn phase I would have a house full. Now I am starting to rethink that. I look at him (especially when he is sleeping) and think how could I wish this time away. This is amazing and I want it to last longer. It is so much easier and enjoyable when he is not hurting and screaming all the time. If this is what all newborns are like then I think I could do this a few more times (although i don't think I could convince Jeff for more than 1 more)

You really should try probiotics. The powdered ones you just mix with a little breast milk and poof, no more reflux! Worked like a charm on James. Ask your ped!
